Passing of women reservation bill is really historic moment in Indian politics. Now monopoly of many politicians in parliament will definatly going to be affected. this 108th amendment in constitution is really a great achievement. But India is still on 99th position as far as global development of female is concerned. there is lot of literature about empowerment of women & their developments etc etc. But serious question about it is that Can they handle these responsibilities?. ( after readning this feamales gonna kill me) but plz think of it.
Indian politics have a great history of women participation. Sarojini Naidu, Indira GAndhi to name a few... Today also there are some fiercing leader like Vrinda Karat, Sushma Swaraj, Mayawati ( yes...). But can every women b like them?? certinely not. no need to go far, Imagine there r lok sabha elections & think of eligible women candidate from Amethi?? u can hardly find any.. But due to women reservation bill, if that seat is reserved for females then?? It become inevitable to give ticket to women which will hamper development of that area. same about many others... So the questionn arises whether the motive will get achived??
Secondally politics nowdays became a dirty caste & money game. So may b very difficult to get survive in this scenario.
This is somewhat negative aspect. But at the same time More no of them will get a good chane to contribute in decision making. like in civil services etc. I'm very much happpy with this fact. coz they r blessed with good decision making power by born, so its added advantage.
The worst part of it is the Indianness showed by some MPs. They once again proved that India is still male dominated But anyway its a gud development. But they must kep in mind that they r there for raising developmental issues not the cost of saris & all.
P.S- I suggest the same quota in appointment of marshals also in parliament(females) or else a day may come that all women fighting with belans & marshalls will be mute spectators!!!! what say?/ U know female tendency.......
